Established in 1997, Potential Engineering, PC (PE) is a structural engineering and consulting firm that specializes in the innovative development, design, and construction of infrastructure and building systems. Founded by current President Sam Ghaida, PE, the companies project portfolio has grown to include large and complex projects requiring specialized expertise.
Potential Engineering provides services to a wide variety of government agencies, municipalities, institutions, industries, architects and developers. We attribute our long-lasting relationships with our clients to the talented, responsive, service-oriented professionals employed throughout the PE organization. Head Staff
Sam Ghaida, P.E., C.S.I. - President
Samer Ghaida, P.E. is the founder and principal structural engineer of Potential Engineering, PC. With over 25 years of experience, Sam is directly involved in all aspects of a project, on a daily basis. He believes in working directly with owners, architects, and contractors to provide attentive service, quick response, and sound decisions. Sam holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and a Masters's in Structural Engineering from Louisiana State University and is currently licensed in five states.
Moe Alex, P.E. - Head Staff Engineer
Moe Alex, P.E. is a licensed structural engineer and certified New York City expediter. He has over nine years of experience working as an engineer as well as with the Department of Buildings in NYC to ensure a quick turn around time for plan checking and official approvals, His technical knowledge combined with the approval process make Moe an excellent team member for all New York related clients.
Allen Ghaida, Assoc. AIA
Allen is an (RA) exam candidate currently working on design, development, technical detailing, on-site inspection under the supervision of licensed engineers, and project management. Holding a Bachelors from the New School of Architecture and a Masters of Advanced Design from Columbia University, Allen engages all multidisciplinary experts from all phases for successful project completion. His knowledge in parametric design, computational design, advanced delivery production, and design codes proves valuable for assisting in fabrication, processing, and advanced assemblies. On the off hours, Allen dedicates his time to research related to architectural design methodologies and systems approaches to urban design solutions.
Alex Sanders, C.S.I - Construction, Inspection
Alex oversees technicians and certified inspectors with more than 30 years of experience in soil investigation, construction inspection, and design. He has been providing professional services in numerous projects for government agencies, architects, engineers, real estate developers, utility and construction companies.
